Despite the fact that the garden looks like a green jungle (lots of town supply watering happening now with no rain in sight and the tanks dry as a bone) the harvest is still a little scarce. That is also due to the fact that we only returned home on Friday evening and haven’t eaten at home until tonight (and even that came out of the freezer as we were out all day). Anyway I did pick a few things.
A few beans (more than shown above but not by too many). My beans have been really disappointing, especially the two new varieties that I tried this year. I’m yet to pick a single beanette and the purple king has only produced three or four.
My third tomato, though it’s the seventh one from the garden, the others were picked while I was away by the friend watering the garden for me.
A tiny wee red capsicum. This is from the over-wintered plant which has lots of fruit, but they’re all very small. Not sure what the go with that is.
The first cob of corn.
Plus a bowl full of pak choy and lettuce leaves and a couple of zucchinis not pictured.
Things are looking a bit more promising for next week though, so hopefully the quantities at least might be a bit more impressive.

Not just promising but excellent harvest this week in the brief time you were back and harvesting. The tomatoes and corn have my mouth watering.
