Final Simple Monday – For Andrea

I’ve decided this is to be my last Simple Monday post, and it’s a very simple thank you.

A while ago Andrea from Harvest with Glee sent me a package with some of her own saved seeds, included some wonderful sunflower seeds.  It took me a while to get them going and protect them from some particularly hungry worms, but once they did there was no stopping them.

The tallest ones reach quite a bit over the top of the fence line and I have these beauties nodding their heads to greet me every morning.  Since I too the photos most of them now have multiple flowers, one big central one and lots of littler ones.

Now, how exactly do I save some seeds from these magnificent specimens?

From little seeds big things grow…………. Wow they are big and beautiful hope little Miss Good is enjoying them too! To save the seeds just let the flower dry on the plant and then cut off and store in a dry position, maybe a garden shed or hang up under a verandah. Enjoy X
